Source East & Source West
there is no limitation to what can be accomplished in and with the Source.
we use many formats and different means of recording, from 8 track 1" tape, to CD recorders, 2-track cassette, and mini-disc records. we find that any source has a purpose when applied correctly. many of our amplifiers are custom, and unique to the Source. we currently employ our own plate reverb system that is ever changing. we have several custom tube preamps, and direct ins.
we currently own two record lathes, in which they have added a completely different view and meaning to producing music.
we want to make interesting recordings. we want to exceed what were only known as limits. and we want to do it with you.
Source East is located inside of Electric Kitsch in Bay City, MI, where Jessica and Jordan also reside. while there is a dedicated live room, and control room, the record store acts as a perfect live room for capturing big, open sounds. size of the sales floor is 46'x29' with 11' ceilings. walls and ceiling are knotty pine, and oak timbers, it sounds awesome in here.
we have spare rooms for artists, and have access to several rentals if needed. Bay City is a wonderful place to live, and be, we hope you find it to be the same.
